Anchorless Pop-up Boutique and Gallery opened August 19th, 2011:

Located at 648 Kingsway Street in Vancouver, BC

Anchorless pop.up. presents "Hard Luck" on November 25th featuring live music by Moonshine Express. FB event

The Concept:
• Anchorless Pop-Up Boutique and online store- We will carry the handmade work of artists from across the country and Cascadia featuring an array of items - including artwork, jewelry, stationery, zines, reclaimed items and more.
• The pop-up boutique’s inventory will be sold based on consignment with the majority of the sales going to the artist.
• Created to showcase the works of local artist, jewelers and crafters.
• Promote Canadian/Cascadian arts and culture and to engage our community.
• Support independent artist purchasing and strengthen community ties.
• Expose to the talent and artistic drive across the country and down the coastline.
• Host art openings, feature installations and art workshops.

The online shop planned to launch in September.

The shop located in The Toast Collective @ 648 Kingsway will be open by appointment and on Wednesday from 2:00pm-7:00pm PT and Saturdays from 11:00am-5:00pm PT.

Born in Winnipeg- lived coast to coast. Currently resides in Vancouver, BC and is the founder of Anchorless Pop-up. I enjoy making art with cut outs and silk screening, I also dabble in jewelry design.

Rikki McDougall: Winnipeg, MB
Rikki McDougall makes unique, custom one of a kind jewelry. Her pieces include pendant made out of antique silver spoon and inside rests original drawings, handcut leather earrings and envelope necklaces.

Heather Kuziw "Hold On": Winnipeg, MB
The button was falling off my red felt coat. I asked it to "hold on". I hoped it would stay. That button became a personal symbol. When things start to come undone just hold on.

Jeanette Johns: Montreal, PQ
Jeanette Johns is an artist living and working in Montreal, PQ. She completed her BFA (honours) majoring in printmaking in 2008 at the University of Manitoba. Johns works primarily in silkscreen and etching, often with the addition of a variety of other techniques such as paper marbling, gold leaf and digital printing. She explores the relationship between observation and aesthetic experience by constructing and layering imagery of maps, diagrams and graphs. Meg Kroeker "Margot Pollo": Montreal, PQ
Meg Kroeker is a multidisciplinary artist living in Montreal, Quebec. Photography and printmaking make up the bulk of her art scope, though stenciling, sewing and illustration projects are always on the go at her worktable.
