Winnipeg or Bust!

Presented by Rugged Riders, Manitoba Skateboard Coalition in conjunction with SLAG (skate like a girl). Although the event was rained out and held in the Edge Indoor Skatepark, good times and good lines were made.

The girls from SLAG, who are on tour for the Chicks Flip Out! contest visited cities across North America with an impressive crew of ladies. From Fred Lavet hailing from Quebec killin' the bowl jam, to Tamara Drybrough of Vancouver coming in first in the advanced category. Chrissie Lathrop of Seattle, Washington winning best trick busting out a b/s board flip.

Most surprising, Sarah Molder of Regina, Saskatchewan showed up with her mom and best friend to take second in advanced. Watch out for this up and coming shredzilla!

Team manager and Co-director of SLAG, Nancy Chang taught clinics in the morning novice skaters. The girls spent a few days in Winnipeg, so before the rain came they got to check out some of the world class parks the city has to offer. All the girls had a great time in Winnipeg, as one of the major highlights of the tour.
