How does it feel to be Zeus?
Pretty good.

The best part about living in Winnipeg is the double tour dates. Bands tend to stop on their way from East to West and on their way back home. The last minute Winnipeg date added to the tour on Zeus' way back to Toronto gave me some time to talk to the band about tour, Arts & Crafts and being Zeus.
I stumbled across popsters Zeus by accident as they were on tour with Cuff the Duke. As soon as I saw them setting up, I knew I was going to like this band, between Carlin's “Brent Randel” moustache, to Mike O’Brian’s "Shotgun Jimmy" shy look. I couldn't wait for them to start. The sound is fun and fresh with an old feel. Beatles and the Beach Boys meets more awesomeness!
Jason Collett manages the band. Signed to Arts & Crafts, Zeus' “How does it feel” song themes a Nissan commercial, and they recently played a CMJ showcase for Arts & Crafts Night. It's all happening for this band, so keep your eyes and ears out for what comes next for Zeus.
Their Genesis cover of “that’s all” on their debut EP is badass and bags the question of the possibility of a cover being better then the original? Watch out for this power group. Versatile, changing leads, guitars, pianos song to song, there is nothing not to like about Zeus. The entire band works together to make this happen. People have no idea what they are getting themselves into until the band starts. Zeus twins Carlin Nicholson and Mike O'Brien formed the band, adding the likes of guitarist Neil Quin and Rob Drake on drums.
Watch out for the full length album just finished being mastered "Say Us" released February 23, 2010 .
